The Workflow is a system meant to personalized notifications or actions in the Visual Guard Webconsole.

• Workflow Server: Enables or disables the workflow server

• SMTP Host: Defines the mail server used to send notifications
  • Host: The SMTP server address eg. smtp.company.com
  • Port: Port number used by the SMTP server
  • Enable SSL: Checkbox to enable secure email transmission
  • Username & Password: SMTP authentication username & password
• SMTP Test:
  • Recipients Email Address: Email address where the test email will be sent.
  • Sender’s Email Address: Email address used as the sender of the test email.
  • Test Connection: Validates SMTP configuration and connectivity.
• Update: Saves and applies changes to workflow server and SMTP configuration.

How to connect to Office 365

The user needs to have the rights to send emails by Office 365

Connect to Office 365 portal (https://portal.office.com/adminportal)

Go to active user and select your user

Click on “Manage email apps”

Check the option “Authenticated SMTP”

The username needs to be use for the email FROM
