Application Roles

Application roles in Visual Guard define access at the application level, controlling what users can see and do within a specific application. These roles group together permissions such as access to screens, actions (create, edit, delete), and features relevant to that application.

Unlike global or system-level roles, application roles are context-specific, meaning a user can have different roles across different applications. For example, a user might have an Admin role in one application and a Viewer role in another.

Application roles make it easier to:

  • Manage permissions in a structured and scalable way
  • Adapt access based on the application’s functionality
  • Maintain clear separation of responsibilities across multiple applications

By using application roles, administrators can ensure that access control remains precise, organized, and aligned with real business needs.

Visual Guard allows you to manage the Roles of the application.
