In Visual Guard, Active Directory (AD) integration enables organizations to manage user authentication and access control by leveraging their existing AD infrastructure. Visual Guard can connect to an organization’s AD to authenticate users and retrieve information about user accounts, roles, and groups. This allows administrators to control access to applications and data within Visual Guard based on the AD configuration, ensuring centralized and efficient security management.

Key Features in Visual Guard’s Active Directory Integration:

  1. User Authentication: Visual Guard can authenticate users via AD, allowing users to log in using their Windows credentials without needing separate Visual Guard accounts.
  2. Role-Based Access Control: It pulls AD group memberships and maps them to Visual Guard roles, enabling administrators to manage permissions through AD.
  3. Single Sign-On (SSO): With AD integration, Visual Guard supports SSO, allowing users to log into multiple applications seamlessly after a single authentication.
  4. Synchronization: Visual Guard can automatically sync AD users and groups, ensuring access control stays up to date as users and roles change within AD.
